Focus on Annie Duke

Annie Duke might not have captured her 1st WSOP Bracelet until two thousand and four but she is one of the most feared poker competitors around the ring matches at The Bellagio in Las Vegas. Annie’s longawaited WSOP bracelet came with a win at the "cast aside game" of Omaha hi low.

While players from the "younger generation" of poker go wild after a large win at the tables, Annie goes back home to be "mom" to her 4 kids. She grew up in New Hampshire and raised into a family of card competitors. If you don’t believe that, observe her brother, Howard Lederer, in action who coached her how to wager on the game.

However, Mrs. Duke is no small fry kind of girl and has succeeded at her cut of difficult tables, which includes eliminating Howard along the way on a couple of occasions. They are both competitors that have the ability to acquire the large $$$$$ and do so with a grin.

Annie is a tough player at any poker table because she is a natural poker player, but it’s a little more than simply being skilled at the game. Annie is surprisingly smart and graduated from Columbia University where she double majored in Psychology and English.

When you take a seat across from her at the poker table you’ll see Annie is there to play the game and she begins "summing" you up from the time you sit down at the game table. If you can not wager like a winner, then don’t bother.

Acquiring over three million dollars in tournament play, Annie became a adviser to both the UltimateBet poker room and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who wished to hone his talents and become a force at the tables.

You may glimpse her at the Bellagio, you’ll definitely notice Annie on television and you might even play against her in an internet poker match, but do not count on a simple win. Except of course you are a camp-in-the-making, you will not beat her. Although, it would be exciting to mention you played at the same table as "The Duke".
