Web Big Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen
Gus Hansen experienced a marvelous year on the WPT where he was the only gambler to achieve closing game in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may recall one of the largest pots in high stakes poker history up against Daniel Negreanu. Hansen secured a large pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many tv poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the greatest enthusiasts anywhere in the world. While betting on internet poker, a different side of Hansen has been seen. He regularly participates in the 200/400 NL max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Gus generally buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and gambles very weak. He waits for a decent hand and then pushes all-in. I believe Gus is an amazing poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400NL. Unless Gus is bankrupt, he has absolutely no reason to play at the game with the min buy in.
Playing for the minimum takes a majority of the ability out of deep stack poker. Hansen is supposed to be one of the best poker players in the world but he cannot buy in for the total amt.. I think tv can alter our perception of the real world sometimes. The greatest poker players anywhere in the world could be players you have will not have heard of. Gus can be seen wagering on internet poker on Full Tilt. He usually competes in big stakes omaha high and texas holdem. Gus Hansen has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he use his talents in money rounds?
