Online poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television scores. Over the years numerous variations on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the casino instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up just before the dealer declares "No more bets." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different gamblers attain 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call bet or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your original wager, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your bet goes instantly to the casino. After the bet comes the face off. If the bank doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a sum equal to the original bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The dealer pays out money equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
